TRAINING AND TECHNICAL CENTRE

MANAGEMENT:

B.A Industrial Training and Technical Centre is sponsored and managed by Mohiudeen Educational Trust. The Trust also runs a Kannada and English Medium School, a Pre-University College and Darul Uloom Mohiudeen Arabic College. There are more than 1200 boys and girls studying in these institutions.

B. Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, a leading industrialist, educationalist and philanthropist is the chairman of the Trust. He is also heading the management of a number of educational institutions in the district. He is the President of The Badria Educational Institutions of Mangalore. He is also the President of one of Mangalore's oldest and reputed night schools known as Navbharat Night School, which was established before Independence. Mr. Thumbay Moideen is one of the Trustees, he is the Founder & President of the Gulf Medical College in the U.A.E. The other trustees are B. A Abdul Salam, B. M Ashraf and Mrs. Mariam Shabana Faizal.

CENTRE:

The centre is situated in the BA Industrial Complex at Thumbay, near the National Highway 48 between B.C. Road and Mangalore. It is housed in a beautiful campus with spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories and workshops. The Staff includes a dedicated ,experienced and highly qualified team.

OBJECTIVES: The main Objectives of the centre is:

To impart and promote technical education keeping in view the modern technology needs for the young and ambitious youth.

To provide Educational and training programs which are compatible with international development, ensuring global competitiveness.

To provide necessary knowledge, know how and skill to youth to set up small scale industrial units on their own

COURSES OF STUDY FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

BA Industrial Training and Technical Centre offers the following courses of study-

Electronic Mechanic - 2 years
Electrician - 2 Years
Mechanic Diesel - 1 Year
Fitter - 2 Years
Plumber - 1 Year
Welder - 1 Year
Mechanic Refrigeration & A/c - 2 Years
Pattern Maker - 2 Years

And many other short-term Job-Oriented Courses – Open to All

ELIGIBILITY:

The minimum admission requirement for the above training courses is a pass in the SSLC (except for short-term Job-Oriented Courses). The candidate should be between the age group of 15 and 25 years. The candidate should be healthy & physically fit and free from contagious diseases.

CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING:

A Certificate of Training will be awarded to the trainees on successful completion of the course provisionally, pending receipts of certificates from the National council of Vocational Trades (NCVT), New Delhi.

COUNSELING AND PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT:

There is a separate Counseling and Placement Department in our Centre. The Department keeps in constant touch with a number of industries in India and abroad, particularly the Gulf countries and assesses employment opportunities in these industries. Campus placements & interviews are arranged by the institute in cooperation with various reputed industrial houses

Thumbay English Medium School has been achieving 100% results since last seven years. The Govt. of Karnataka has awarded the School for this excellent achievement
Thumbay P.U. College was awarded by the Govt. of Karnataka for the remarkable performance of its students in P.U. Board examination, April 2006. Mr. Basavaraj Horatti, the Education Minister presented the award to the Principal in 2006.

Started in 2000 with an aim to improve the status of rural women in the village, Thumbay. The institute strives hard for the self dependence of women by training them in various vocations

The institute also organizes an annual exhibition cum sales programme of the items prepared. It is a platform for the women entrepreneurs to launch their products. The exhibition is conducted to encourage and motivate the women entrepreneurs of the rural areas.
